Calsinced Bauxite

Calcined Bauxite Manufacturers & Suppliers in India

Calcined Bauxite, chemically classified as an aluminum-rich mineral aggregate primarily composed of diaspore or gibbsite matrices, is a dark-grey to brownish, granular or powdered material widely used as a core raw material across refractory, abrasive, steelmaking, and anti-skid road surfacing applications. Produced through the controlled thermal processing and high-temperature rotary or shaft kiln calcination of raw bauxite ore at temperatures exceeding 1300°C to 1600°C, it eliminates combined moisture to yield a highly dense, thermally stable material with exceptional mechanical hardness.

Due to its exceptional thermal stability and versatility, Calcined Bauxite is vital for heavy industries, high-alumina refractory brick production, ladle castables, welding fluxes, and precision blasting abrasives.

Calcined Bauxite Specifications

Produced by high-temperature rotary or shaft kiln calcination of select crude bauxite, our Calcined Bauxite features a high Al₂O₃ content typically ranging from 80% to 88% with iron impurities tightly controlled (Fe₂O₃ usually under 2.5% to 3.0%). Boasting a high bulk density (around 3.10 to 3.25 g/cc) and low apparent porosity, it provides outstanding mechanical strength, high refractoriness under load, and exceptional resistance to slag abrasion. Sized in precision grains, aggregates (such as 0–1 mm, 1–3 mm, 3–5 mm), and fine powders, it is a critical raw material for high-alumina refractory bricks, monolithic castables, steel ladles, precision casting, and high-friction anti-skid road surfacing.
